I came across this Maya Tutorial website when I was looking for more tutorial material. It has links to other sites that provide the tutorials, so it is sort of like a portal. The only down side is that some of the links can possibly become broken over time. However, you are able to report to them if a link is broken.

Cartoonster

I thought I would post about this website I found called cartoonster.com. At cartoonster they teach you the basics of animating using a flipbook. The website is designed for kids more or less, but it is helpful none the less. I have enjoyed cartoons for my entire life, and I always wondered how they were able to get images to move so fluidly. Cartooning/Animation really sparked my interest to go into art and design. I contemplated becoming a cartoonist for a while, but was not sure I would have the technical skill needed. However, I did begin playing around with flipbook animation, and these basic tutorials sparked my memory.

Maybe I will have to get back into flipbook animation!

Digital Tutors

If anyone wants to take learning to another level you have to check out Digital-Tutors. I have been given the ability to view tutorials on their website for a short period of time. I have to say that this is by far the best tutorial website I have EVER seen. You are given the ability to favorite videos, browse software packages, add notes, and much more. The thing that really catches me is that these videos are all from trained professionals, so you know what they are teaching is legit. They also frequently update their video libraries, so you will NEVER run out of tutorials to watch.
