Walk Cycle - Update!
Here is an updated playblast of my walk cycle. I decided to have him walking on a treadmill. I have added lights, basic textures, and a camera that swings around him during the 8 second clip.

Walk Cycle - Progress
Here is a set of playblasts showing my in progress animation using the rig provided to us. I want to make some further adjustments to his walk, and I also want to add the animation of both his eyes and antennae.

Robot Arm Poses
Here are the preliminary drawings I did for my robot arm animation. I knew early on that I wanted it to place a missile into something. Then it hit me that it would be interesting to create a robot that is designed to launch mortars. This is so the soldiers do not have to endanger themselves from malfunctioning shells, and enemy fire.
Robot Arm Progress
Here is a playblast of my robot arm animation so far. I think that the animation is moving smoothly.

Octo-Wagon Progress
For this project I intend to have this octopus take a ride down a hill in his wagon. At the bottom of the hill will be a ramp which will enable him to launch himself back into the sea. So far I have modeled the octopus character, and the wagon. Now I just need to create the environment, and add the path animation.

Midterm - Progress
Here is what I have been working on for my midterm. We have to make this flying fox rig jump up and down, and make the tail follow his/her movements. I decided to have the fox jump as well as translate across a plane. Along with the translate I have added rotation and squash & stretch to bring the character to life.
The animation needs a bit more tweaking in the graph editor to improve flow. I will also keep checking the tail to make sure it is rotating properly.

Pendulum Project
Here is my finished pendulum project. I still believe that I need some practice with Overlapping Action & Follow Through, but I am happy with the outcome. I hope to get some good feedback during our critiques, so I can understand my mistakes and fix them!

Weighted Balls - Project Completion
The two bounces that I decided on animating were a Bowling Ball and a Tennis Ball.
I believe I achieved the different feel in weight, and the squash and stretch for the tennis ball. Also, I gained more experience in Maya during the animation process.

Ball Bounce - Completed
Here is the updated playblast of my ball bounce. I created this after listening to Brandon Perkins lecture, and watching his demo. My first attempt at this turned out to be too light and floaty. After learning some more things about the graph editor, I was able to create this in less than half the time! I am happy with the results, and we will critique them next class.
Ball Bounce - Progress
Here is my progress achieved on my current project. We are tasked with using video reference to create a bouncing ball animation with the weight of a basketball. I believe that I achieved a pretty good ball bounce using the graph editor. I had a bit of trouble with the rotation, and I had to do some extra adjustments to the X movement. Other than that I think that this project turned out pretty well, and I will most likely update this post in the near future.
